Pick Up for all Online Sales

For those with access to Fort Wainwright all online orders can be picked up three (3) business days after the order was placed at the Last Frontier Community Activity Center during their normal operating hours. Tickets that are not picked up by Thursday, June 9 will be available to pick up at the Will Call Tent on Friday, June 10 starting at 4 p.m.

For those without access to Fort Wainwright all online orders can be picked up at the Will Call Tent on Friday, June 10 starting at 4 p.m.

The Fort Wainwright Visitor Center will NOT issue passes for Summer Concert Ticket purchases or pick ups.

The person picking up the order will be asked for a photo ID that matches the name on the Ticket order.  For those ordering DoD Tickets, the person picking up the order will need to show their DoD ID Card.

Nothing comes close to a warm summer day with live music, food straight from the grill, and a cold beverage in hand. We'll be serving up a variety of food and beverages, including adult beverages. Tokens are required to purchase food and beverages from any Vendor at the summer Concert.  Skip the line and save time by buying your tokens in advance at the Last Frontier Community Activity Center until Thursday, June 9th. Tokens can also be purchased day-of at the Summer Concert (cash preferred).

Parking, Road Closures, Summer Concert Buses & Access Information (Click to view)

Concert Access

Open to DoD Cardholders, Authorized Guests, and the public. No re-entry will be granted once you enter through the security check point into the event entrance area.

Badger Gate will be special event access only starting at 1:30pm on Friday, June 10th in support of the Summer Concert.  The Visitor Center will not be issuing passes for this event, please proceed straight to Badger Gate located off Badger Road. Installation access via Badger Gate will require positive photo identification for patrons inside the vehicle. Attendees should be prepared for random vehicle inspections, as well as bag checks being implemented. A reminder that marijuana, though legal in the State of Alaska, is still illegal, in any form, on federal installations.

Parking

Parking will be available across from the Chena Bend Clubhouse & Golf Course, building 4090 Montgomery Road (at the intersection of Montgomery Road and Ketcham Road). Be prepared to follow traffic signs and controllers as they lead you to available parking spots. See map below.

Overnight Parking 

If you decide to leave your vehicle parked overnight, please note that it will be towed to the Lower Chena Bend Golf Course Parking Lot off Kinney Rd.

ℹRoad Closures & Badger Gateℹ

Numerous Road Closures will be in affect starting at 1:30pm on Friday, June 10th in support of the Summer Concert. You will not be able to access the Summer Concert area from Fort Wainwright-  Badger Gate is the only access point for the Summer Concert via vehicle. See map below for exact road closures. To exit Fort Wainwright after 1:30pm on Friday, June 10th Old Badger Road will be open for RIGHT TURN EXIT ONLY.  Vehicles will be able to turn right off Old Badger Road onto Montgomery Rd and exit Fort Wainwright via Badger Gate.

On Post Free Summer Concert Buses

A free bus service will be available for concert attendees from four locations across Fort Wainwright. No need to make reservations- buses begin their continuous loop at 3:30 p.m. and will run until roughly 10:30pm.  Bus wait times will vary.  Patrons are encouraged to walk to the closest location from their residences.  This is the recommended mode of transportation to access the concert from Fort Wainwright.

After a night of fun, do the responsible thing and don't drive while intoxicated. The B.O.S.S. S.A.D.D. Program is here to make sure that all Active Duty Soldiers and Airmen, as well as their dependents, arrive home safely. Who is able to attend the concert and purchase tickets?
Anyone! The 2022 Summer Concert is open to all DoD Affiliates as well as the surrounding community!

When do tickets go on sale?
Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:30 a.m.

Who needs a ticket?
Anyone ages 14 and over will need a Ticket into the concert.  Ages 13 and under are free.

How do I know if I am a DoD or Non-DoD Ticket?
DoD ID-Cardholders include Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, and DoD-Civilians.  This does not include contractors; contractors fall under the Non-DoD category.  Non-DoD Cardholders include the general public and DoD-Contractors.

Do you have youth tickets?
There is no youth ticket pricing.  Youth will fall under the General Admission or the General Admission Gate Tickets.  Anyone ages 14 and over will need a Ticket to the concert.  Ages 13 and under are free.

What is the Doyon Utilities Platinum Seating Area Ticket?
A Doyon Utilities Platinum Seating Area Ticket is a special seating area for those 18+ only.  Youth, including infants, are not allowed.  This area is located in a special section stage left with limited chairs and tables provided.  A Doyon Utilities Platinum Seating Area Ticket includes admission into the event and MWR Express. Limited number available.  Tickets are nonrefundable.  No federal endorsement implied. 

As of May 11, the Doyon Platinum Seating Area Tickets are sold out, and a waitlist has been started.

What is the MWR Express?
The MWR Express is an expedited line for MWR Food and Beverage only.  Anyone standing in the MWR Express line must have an MWR Express Wristband.  Limited number available and nonrefundable.  MWR Express is not valid at any non-MWR Food Vendors or Booths. MWR Express wristbands will be picked up the day of the event.

What is Romper Room?
Romper Room of Fairbanks will be joining us at the 2022 Summer Concert with their inflatables!!  Romper Room is $15 per person and is open to all ages including adults, though some inflatables will have age restrictions.  They will be bringing bounce houses, obstacle courses and the giant TOXIC CRUSH!  All youth must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while inside the Romper Room area. Romper Room is nonrefundable.  Wristbands will be picked up the day of the event at the Romper Room table.  No federal endorsement implied.

What is a Token?
Tokens are required to purchase food and beverages the day of the concert from any Food Vendors or Booths.  No cash or cards will be accepted at the food or beverage vendors or booths.  $1 = 1 Token.  Save time and purchase your Tokens ahead of time!  Tokens can be purchased in advance at Last Frontier Community Activity Center on Fort Wainwright or online! All Tokens are nonrefundable.

What is your refund policy?
All Tickets, Tokens, Romper Room, and MWR Express items are nonrefundable.

What happens if I lose my Tickets, Tokens or MWR Express?
Unfortunately, there are no reprints. We ask you to keep them in a safe place if you purchase in advance.

What if I am no longer able to attend the concert?
All Tickets, Tokens, Romper Room, and MWR Express items are nonrefundable.  We encourage anyone who is no longer able to attend the concert to ask friends or family if they would like to attend with the items you purchased.

How will I know where to sit at the concert venue?
The concert venue will be open seating on a first-come, first-serve basis.  We encourage patrons to bring blankets and folding chairs to the event as the venue is mainly asphalt with some grassy areas.

How do I sit with my friends?
We recommend your entire party carpools to the event and place your folding chairs and blankets next to each other.  Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Can I drive my own vehicle?
Yes!  Patrons are able to drive their own vehicles.  All vehicles going to or leaving the Summer Concert MUST enter ONLY through Badger Gate.  Badger Gate will be for event traffic only starting at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 10.

Badger Gate will remain open to event traffic only throughout the duration of the event. Badger Gate will close after the event once Security as determined all patrons and vehicles have left the venue and parking areas.

I live on Fort Wainwright; do I have to go through Badger Gate still?
Yes!  Anyone wishing to drive their own vehicle to the concert will need to enter and exit through Badger Gate.  The reason for this is due to the safety and security of our entire installation.

Badger Gate Vehicle Inspections
All vehicles be prepared for random vehicle inspections when coming through Badger Gate.

Do I have to wear a mask?
Currently, patrons do not have to wear a mask to the event.

What can I bring to the concert?
Please check the prohibited list (see below) for what is not allowed inside the concert venue.  Other items not listed on the Prohibited List are in the judgement of Security that pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of the event by other guests.  Prohibited Items discovered during the security inspections at the Gates must be either returned to the owner’s vehicle or discarded.  No safekeeping locations will be provided at the event. Prohibited items discovered inside the venue or any items left unattended are subject to confiscation and proper disposal.  All attendees accept full liability for any personal items brought into the event.

How do I get into the venue?
Patrons will enter through a security check point and all bags are subject to search.  Please be prepared to remove all metal objects from your pockets to make the searches go quickly.  Be sure to check the prohibited list (see below) for what is not allowed inside the concert venue.  Please be aware that reentry is not permitted.

Can I bring my pet/animal?
Animals are not permitted at the event, except for Service Animals.
