Child and Youth Services Respite Care
Receive up to 16 hours of Respite Care, plus a 20% fee reduction on Full-Day or Part-Day care. Respite Care can be applied to Hourly Care as well as Parents Day/Night Out too!

Blue Star Community Card Members receive $1 pizza slices during Family Game Night. Limited to the 3rd Thursday event of each month.
$1 Monday through Friday Fitness Classes at Physical Fitness Center
Receive $1 Fitness Classes Monday through Friday. Specialty Classes are excluded from discounts.
$1 Saturday Open Swim at Melaven Aquatics Center
Blue Star Community Card Members can swim Saturdays during Open Swim for $1 per registered household member.
$1 Friday & Saturday Recreational Ice Skating & Skate Rentals at PFC Ice Rink
Recreational Ice Skating and Skate Rentals are $1 each per Blue Star Community Card Member Fridays and Saturdays.
$3 Laser Tag Games at Last Frontier Community Activity Center
Laser Tag games are $3 per Blue Star Community Member per game during Laser Tag Arena's Normal Business Hours
Spouses of Soldiers assigned to a deployment of 90 days or more are eligible to register for the Blue Star Community Program.* Each household will be presented with one Blue Star Community Card after registration per person in the household that is 16 years old and up.
Spouses of Soldiers must be able to present a valid set of Soldier's orders, as well a DoD ID Card at the time of registration.

If registering a household with no Respite Care needed or has already been applied to a CYS account, head to Last Frontier Community Activity Center.
If registering for Respite Care, it is highly encouraged to head over to Parent and Outreach Services for Blue Star Community Card registration for an easy 2-in-1 registration process. Please refer to the Parent and Outreach Services site for needed forms to register for Respite Care.
Community Cards will be issued September 3, 2019 through August 31, 2020 due to closures for Labor Day Weekend.

Blue Star Community Cards are valid September 3, 2019 through August 31, 2020.
- Can I share my Blue Star Community Card?
Yes, your Blue Star Community Card can only be shared with immediate members of your household. Community Cards are distributed per household to those who are 16 years old and above. Community Cards are for registered households and it is a violation to share your Blue Star Community Card with members outside of your registered household.
- If my soldier comes back from deployment before August 31, 2020, can we still use this card?
Yes, a registered household may use this Community Card until August 31, 2020.
- What happens if I lose my card?
Replacement cards are $10. Replacement Community Cards can be picked up and paid for at Last Frontier Community Activity Center
- I'm already registered for CYS Respite Care but don't have a Blue Star Community Card. How do I get a Blue Star Community Card?
Starting September 3, bring in your DoD ID Card and Soldier's orders to pick up a Blue Star Community Card at Last Frontier Community Activity Center.
