Chatanika River Overnight Float

Come out and take in the summer colors as we paddle down the historic and remote Chatanika River

Canoe down the historic Chatanika River, made famous during the days of gold miners and sourdough, enjoying the beautiful scenery and keeping an eye out for wildlife along the way.

The first day will be spent driving to our put-in location, paddling for 11 miles downstream, and setting up camp at the Chatanika River State Recreation Site. Day 2 will consist of paddling from the camping site to the take-out location at the Elliot highway Bridge.

Enjoy the tundra foliage at its peak color, with greens, purples and pinks dot the riverside.

All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum age of 5 years old.
Transportation, equipment, and instruction will be included.
