Are you ready to accept an adventurous challenge to "Read Beyond The Beaten Path"? The 2022 DoD MWR Summer Reading Program Kicks Off at 3700 Santiago Avenue, Fort Wainwright on Saturday, May 14, from noon to 2 p.m. Sign up for fun and discovery this summer at the Post Library! Pick up your Summer Reading t-shirt and join us for activities, crafts, and more.
Read Beyond the Beaten Path combines camp, adventure, and skill development. Summer camp at the library can encompass many remarkable and delightful summer experiences such as hiking, campfires, stories, and s'mores. Who doesn’t love a s’more?

The Post Library is being supported by MWR's Outdoor Recreation Center, Child & Youth Services, and Army Community Service. Explore the camp site setup and find out about ODR's upcoming summer activities and programs. You will want to check out Youth Sports & Fitness for more information on the fun-filled summer activities they have in store for our youth this summer. They are even putting on some sports demos. So, you don't want to miss the action! We also thank our community partners ~ the Fort Wainwright Fire Department and BLM AK Fire Service with Summer Safety info.

The Post Library is currently closed. The Library staff will be holding office hours at the Last Frontier Community Activity Center at 1044 Apple Street from 10am - 4pm Monday - Friday until further notice. Patrons should utilize the outdoor book drop in front of the library, 3700 Santiago Ave. to return library materials. Call 907.353.2642 with questions. Please leave a message if they are not able to answer your call. Voicemail is checked daily.
