Our vision is to provide the community of Fort Wainwright access to high quality materials and programs to support the mission and lifelong learning goals for Soldiers, Family Members, Retirees, and DoD Civilians.

The Library supports a wide variety of interests by offering materials and programs catered to the military community. Wireless Internet, computers, audio books, DVDs, video games, music, children and adult books are available to all DoD ID-Cardholders.

Melaven Aquatics Center is permanently closed. We anticipate the new acquatics center being online in January, 2025.

The Melaven Fitness Center offers its visitors a chance to change up their fitness routine by offering a wide variety of workout opportunities: weight lifting, cardio, functional fitness, and aquatics.

The Physical Fitness Center offers a well-balanced fitness environment for you to get a full-body workout. The facility offers an indoor track, gym courts, free weights and weight machines, cardio machines, racquetball courts, and a seasonal ice rink.
