There’s snow better time to enjoy Birch Hill Ski and Snowboard Area than with March Meltdown!  The 2021-2022 season comes to an end soon and it’s all downhill from here.  So, live like there’s snow tomorrow.  This family-friendly event includes competitions, entertainment, and more!  

Challenge yourself to any one or a combination of the following competitions:  Color Trek & Tube, Freestyle & Knuckle Huck, Rail Jam, and Pond Skip.  Can you bear the Polar Plunge?  You’ll après-ciate a crisp pint from Birch Bites after a day on the slopes.  

Would you rather enjoy a day of skiing and snowboarding or just watch the competitions?  Come on out for the day as well.  It’s always snow much fun having you join us.  Have we peaked your interest?  Embrace the true Alaska spirit!  Family and MWR is ready to help you with your mental well-skiing.

Although all events, except the Color Trek & Tube, are free, registration is required.  Lift tickets are NOT included with registration.  While dogs/pets are not permitted, service animals are allowed.

Cost

All events at March Meltdown are FREE, except the Color Trek & Tube event.

Color Trek & Tube registration dates and fees are below:
$20 per person (commemorative T-shirt included), March 1 - 25
$25 per person (commemorative T-shirt included), March 26 - 31
$30 per person (commemorative T-shirt is NOT guaranteed), April 2

Commemorative T-shirts are limited to the first 100 registrations.  If you prefer to register without the T-shirt option, then pre-registration is is $15, or $20 on the day of the event.  For anyone under 40" tall, registration is free unless a T-shirt is requested due to safety requirements for participating in the tubing portion of the event.

Refund deadline is 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 31.  No refunds will be given after 4:00 pm unless the event is canceled due to weather. 
Registration Information

Register for the Color Trek & Tube at the PFC only.
Register for Freestyle & Knuckle Huck, Rail Jam, Pond Skip, and/or Polar Plunge at the Outdoor Recreation Center or Birch Hill Ski & Snowboard Area.
