B.O.S.S. Ice Fishing at Birch Lake

Join B.O.S.S. and the Outdoor Recreation team for a little ice fishing action in our interior lakes. If you are new to ice fishing, then here is your chance to see how it’s done.

We will provide transportation, rod & reel, bait, ice fishing hut with wood stove, and the know-how to get you started.

Participants will need to wear bring their cold weather gear, a knife, storage bags for their catch, lunch, snacks, and drinks. Tennis shoes are not allowed. We will attempt to postpone the event to a warmer day if the temperature is -20 or lower.

An Alaska State Fishing License is required!

Original cost $55, now only $25 through B.O.S.S.

Registration Information

Must be a B.O.S.S. eligible Service Members to participate. This includes Single Service Members, Single with Dependents, and Geo-Bachelors.

The registration deadline is a week before the event date.

*There is "SPACE-A" slots available for this event for Non-B.O.S.S. patrons.
SPACE-A will be notified within 7 days of the trip if they have a slot and they will pay the full rate at the time of notification. SPACE-A can only be registered through ODR as a Waitlist Enrollment.
