The Iditarod Dog Sled Race is an exciting winter event that starts in Anchorage every year.

Be a part of the excitement this year and join B.O.S.S. for a memorable volunteering opportunity!

B.O.S.S. will take a trip to Anchorage March 1 through 4 to volunteer at the Iditarod Dog Sled Race. Volunteer duties include helping control sled dogs at the beginning of the race.

Volunteers must have attended a Dog Handlers class in the last year. A Dog Handlers class is currently scheduled for February 9, 2019. For those that are unable to attend the February 9, 2019 class, please contact Corky Brzycki from Pounding Paws Mushing to volunteer and receive training.

Volunteers must provide a trip memo and attend a safety brief.

Space is limited and there is a maximum of 20 volunteering slots available.

A B.O.S.S. hoodie will be provided at the event.
