COVID-19 Updates

UPDATED: 03/26/2020 2 p.m. AKT

The novel coronavirus outbreak is evolving on a daily basis. Family and MWR is working closely with USAG Alaska Fort Wainwright leadership to determine how the latest information will affect Family and MWR facilities and events. This will result in cancellations of some events, programs, and services.

As new developments occur, we are committed to taking care of our employees and the community. Please check back regularly for updated cancellations.

Family and MWR Facilities:

We have increased our protocols in sanitizing ALL of our facilities. In essence, high touchpoint areas such as interior and exterior doors/handles, countertops, surfaces, pieces of equipment, furniture, tables, chairs, etc.

We courage our patrons to follow the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Guidance and practice social distancing and other prevention techniques.

PREVENTION: Avoid being exposed; practice appropriate hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, if unavailable use an alcohol-based (at least 60%) hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth; avoid close contact with those who are sick; clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces (work and home).
