This orientation provides basic introduction to the Fort Wainwright Community, its agencies and services and focuses on cultural adaption. The speakers include: the 1-25 SBCT Brigade Commander/CSM, USAG Commander/CSM, Aviation Task Force Commander/CSM, Bassett Army Community Hospital MEDDAC Commander/CSM, Alaskan Culture, Safety, IG, Garrison Chaplain, and Family and MWR.
The Newcomers Orientation brief is mandatory for all incoming Soldiers to the installation and takes place the second Wednesday of each month.
The orientation will be held at the Last Frontier Community Activity Center from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.. Military Spouses and DoD civilians are highly encouraged to attend.
